Nonprofits Alive -- About the author, Steven Grodnitzky, and Getting Started

My name is Steven Grodnitzky and I am writing a blog about nonprofit organizations.  The goal is to provide you with helpful information about how to run an organization, while protecting your nonprofit status.  Whether you are new and filling out your application, or have been a nonprofit for a long time, the information I'll provide will help you navigate the sometimes choppy waters of the nonprofit world.  

A little about me:  I am a lawyer by trade, and worked in the IRS' Nonprofit Division as a Manager and Tax Specialist.  After 14 years with the IRS, I am hard pressed to find something I have not seen or something very similar.  I will give you the news, analysis, and my experiences as an insider in this area in a clear and easy to understand manner.  I have been interested in nonprofits for as long as I can remember.
